Operating System Updates

Both Windows 2000/XP/Vista and Mac OS X offer free downloadable operating system software updates. It is very important for your online security and for optimum system performance that you run these updates regularly.

Windows Update

Windows users can update by opening the Start menu, selecting All Programs, and then selecting either Windows Update or Microsoft Update (depending upon your exact configuration).

Software Update (Mac)

Mac OS X users can update by opening the System Preferences application and selecting Software Update.

Once the updater is open, follow the on-screen instructions to complete your operating system's update process.
